Happy Place, Gratitude Journal, calender 2008, SIScrop mini book!

Hello everyone...it's me again!!
I've been so busy scrapbooking last day's and I can't wait to show everything! Lets start with Em's Challenge! This week's prompt is: your happy place!
Where can you go and be happy? Do you have a special spot somewhere, or will any comfy couch or tree or cafe do it for you? Think of 'your happy place'. Just like Emily, my happy place is at the beach! Just love to go to the beach; smell the fresh sea-air and feel the sea-breeze all around me.

Hallo allemaal, ik ben het weer!!
Heb de laatste dagen zo lekker zitten scrappen en kan niet wachten om jullie alles te laten zien! Eerst maar Emily Falconbridges Challenge! Thema van de ze week is: Je favoriete plek!
Waar kun je naar toe gaan en blij zijn? Is er ergens een speciale plaats? Of is het voor jou een luie stoel, een boomtak of een cafe, waar je lekker kunt ontsapnnen en jezelf zijn?
Net als Em, is mijn favoriete plek het strand! Niets heerlijkers dan lekker uitwaaien op het strand; de zeelucht ruiken en de zeewind overal om me heen voelen.


Yesterday I finished my Gratitude Journal!! The book is made of 32 labels, one for each day of december and a coverlabel. I'm going to scrap a label each day with something I'm thankful for, something that makes me happy, or just a beautiful thought that comes trough my mind! Don't know exactly how it's gonna be, but I just love to make it...specialy next month!
Heb gisteren de laatste hand gelegd aan m'n Gratitude Journal. Het boekje bestaat uit 32 labeltjes, eentje voor elke dag van de maand december en een labeltje als voorkant! Mijn bedoeling is nu om in december elke dag een label te bescrappen met iets waar ik dankbaar voor ben, blij van word of zomaar een mooie gedachte!
Ik zie het wel, heb in elk geval zin om er aan te beginnen en welke maand is nu meer gewschikt dan de decembermaand!

And yeah......I've just finished my SIScrop-mini-book!!! Papers are from DaisyD's and I've put all the pictures of the crop in Ede in this book. Still missing one picture....with the whole group!!
Pictures of the book are very bad (and these are the best pictures)....it's so early dark these day's!!

Jaaaaa......heb zojuist m'n SIScrop-mini-book afgemaakt!!! Papier is van DaisyD en in het boekje alle foto's van de cropdag!! Mis alleen de groepsfoto nog!! Wie....?
Foto's van het boekje zijn vreselijk (en dit waren nog wel de beste foto's ;-) het is ook zo vroeg donker!!

Gratitude Journal, Christmas Cards, invitations Birthday Party and a workshop!

Ben bezig met een Gratitude Journal en het wordt zoo leuk!! Nog niet helemaal klaar, maar hier alvast een sneak peek:

Then I showed you the lovely RAK I received from The House of Inspiration!! Just love the beautiful papers and already made some Christmas Cards with it:

Woensdag heb ik de RAK laten zien die ik van Monique van House of Inspiration had gekregen! Vond het papier zo gaaf, dat ik er meteen een paar Kerstkaarten mee gemaakt heb:


My little nephew Luuk will be 7 in December and his mum and aunt will organize him a Witches Party!! They asked me to make the invitations! Here they are, have a nice Birthday Party Luuk:

On Saturday I gave a workshop and it was so much fun!! They worked hard and each of them made a lovely starbook and a cute accordion book!! Girls, hope to see you all again soon!!

Zaterdag gaf ik een workshop en dat was zoo gezellig! De meiden hebben hard gewerkt en allemaal een prachtig starbook gemaakt en zo'n mooi harmonicaboekje!!

Full of Life, rejuvenation, RAK, Christmas Tree & some cards!!

Today, november 21st, it's my sons birthday!! Time flies, he's already 21....
Told you a time ago that he was very ill when he was born. He has pseudo-hypo-aldosteronisme and was the 3th baby in the Netherlands with this rare illness. One of the children died when our son was about 12 years old. Still thinking of you Alexander...
But Maarten and Nicole our doing well, very well! Look at this page I made for him today (it's also my take of the OLW Challenge for this week with the word FULL):

Vandaag, 21 november, wordt onze Maarten 21 jaar....wat vliegt de tijd!
Ik vertelde laatst al dat hij geboren is met een zeldzame nierafwijking Pseudo-hypo-aldosteronisme. Hij was het 3e kindje in Nederland dat hiermee geboren werd en een van die kinderen is overleden toen maarten 12 was. We denken nog steeds aan je Alexander.....
Maar met Maarten en Nicole gaat het goed, errug goed en dit zijn toch de dagen dat je nog eens extra stil staat bij de moeilijke tijd die we toen samen doormaakten. Heb vandaag een layout gemaakt voor Maarten, al mijmerend over heden en verleden. Het is meteen mijn lo voor de uitdaging van OLW FULL:

What do you do, how do you do it etc! Gotta think a while, but for me rejuvenation is having fun...laughing with friends and take some time for myself; reading a book, a warm bath...

De uitdaging van deze week bij Emily was: verjonging.
Wat doe je, hoe doe je het etc! Moest er even over nadenken maar denk dat ik het meest opfris van het plezier dat ik beleef met m'n vrienden en de tijd die ik af en toe voor mezelf uittrek. Heerlijk met een boek op de bank....een warm bad...

Gisteren kreeg ik deze geweldige RAK van Monique van The House of Inspiration, voor een lo die ik gemaakt heb! Vind 'm zo super en denk dat ik er een paar mooie kaarten mee ga maken of een klein schattig miniboekje!! Bedankt meiden!!


And when I had a day off yesterday I finished my Christmas Tree Book!!! Just love the little tree and can hardly wait till i've got my Christmas pictures ;-)

En toen ik gisteren vrij was, heb ik m'n Kerstboom Boekje afgemaakt!!! Vind 'm zoooo leuk geworden! Kan nauwelijks wachten tot ik m'n Kerstfoto's heb!!

SIS crop!!

Yesterday was the big day......the first Dutch SIScrop, organised bij Silvia, in Ede!! We had such a great time!! It was so much fun to meet all the SISters!!

Gisteren was dan eindelijk de grote dag....de eerste Nederlandse SIScrop, georganiseerd door Silvia, in Ede!! Een geweldige dag!! Zo vreselijk leuk om alle SISters te ontmoeten. Hier wat foto's van deze dag!

Whahaha and 'cause I had no papers with me, I immedately used them to make this cute little Christmas Tree. Isn't this great for my Christmas pictures this year?? Think I'll use the Bind-it-All to bind it!!
Whahaha en omdat ik geen papaier had mee genomen, MOEST ik wel meteen met m'n nieuwe spullies aan de slag en heb deze lieve Kerstboom gemaakt!! Helemaal te gek voor m'n Kerstfoto's van dit jaar! Denk dat ik de Bind-it-All ga gebruiken om het boekje te binden!!

Self realisation, workshop Karen B and SIS crop in Ede

Hello everyone....gotta lot to tell and show, so take seat and have a look!!!

First of all.....after being sick for a few day's, Emily was back and we all we're waiting for her weekly challenge!! This week's prompt is: self realisation.
What have you come to discover about yourself lately? Or, think of a time in your life that you had a 'brick over the head' moment, and journal about that.
Well I learned a lot about myself lately and the most important lesson for me was that "life is full of surprises". But when life is playing games with me I know now that I'm a strong person, that my family and friends are very important and I've learned to grow in these difficult times. For me the Art of Life is to celebrate each day. And it can't be a big party every day, so celebrate the little things in life and enjoy them!

Hallo allemaal...heb een boel te vertellen en te laten zien, dus pak een stoel en schuif gauw aan!!

Als eerste...Emily is terug na een paar dagen ziek te zijn geweest en we zaten allemaal vol smart te wachten op haar uitdaging! Het thema van deze week is: zelfbesef.
Wat heb je de laatste tijd ontdekt over jezelf, of denk aan een moment in je leven dat je "een baksteen over je hoofd had" en vertel daarover!
Heb de laatste jaren veel over mezelf geleerd! De belangrijkste les was wel dat "het leven vol verrassingen zit". Maar als het leven nu spelletjes met me speelt, weet ik dat ik een sterk persoon ben, dat m'n familie en m'n vrienden me overal doorheen slepen en dat ik weet hoe ik kan groeien in elke situatie! Voor mij is de Kunst van het Leven om van elke dag een feestdag te maken. Hoeft geen groot feest te zijn, maar geniet van de kleine dingen in je leven!






And then ofcourse I've gotta tell about the workshop with Karen Burniston!! She's such a sweet person and whenever you've got the chance to take her class, just DO IT!!
We made a cute book, finished it this morning and I love it!! Not sure what kind of pics I will use.....but while typing this, I think it will be a gorgeous Sinterklaaspresent for my little niece Lieke!!! She's gonna love it, don't you think so??!!

En dan heb ik natuurlijk heel veel te vertellen over de workshop met Karen Burniston gisteren! We hebben zo'n leuke dag gehad!!! Karen is een fantastische, lieve vrouw en als je de kans hebt om een workshop je gaan volgen bij haar, moet je dat ECHT doen!!!
We hebben zo'n schattig boekje gemaakt, heb het vanmorgen afgemaakt en het is zoooo leuk! Weet nog niet welke foto's ik ga gebruiken...maar al typende bedenk ik me ineens dat het natuurlijk een fantastisch Sinterklaascadeautje voor m'n nichtje Lieke zal zijn!! Zeker weten dat ze dit te gek zal vinden, denk je ook niet?!

And now all about the SIS crop in Ede next saterday!!! All the Dutch members of SIS(Scrap In Style tv) were invited for the first crop in Ede on saturday the 17th! Oooh, I'm looking so forward to it! So great to meet all the SISters!!
We have to bring our scrapbookgoodies, yummie food, the biggest sunglasses you can find AND the digi ofcourse ;-)
Oooh, I think it's gonna be so much fun! Every SISter is making tag cards (altered playing card) with her picture, name and mailadresses to hand over to each SISter. It was so much fun to make this cards, altough it were 21 cards..... ;-)

En nu alles over de SIS crop van aanstaande zaterdag!! Alle Nederlendse leden van de SIS (Scrap In Style)tv zijn uitgenodigd om naar de eerste cropdag in Ede te komen op zaterdag 17 november! Ooo, ik kijk er zo naar uit! Hartstikke leuk om alle SISters(weer)te ontmoeten!
We moeten onze scrapspullen meenemen, lekker eten, de grootste zonnebril die je kunt vinden EN de digi natuurlijk ;-)
Elke SISter maakt een kaartje (gescrapte speelkaart) met haar naam, foto en emailadres, om uit te delen aan elke SISter. Gaaf om aan het eind van de dag naar huis te gaan met een ring vol gave kaartjes!
Hartstikke leuk om de kaartjes te maken, ook al waren het er 21.....;-)
